The main reason why we are set up is to grow men into maturity.
The Bible says “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” 1 Corinthians 13:11 NIV
Indeed, it takes more than mere growing up to become a man, a real man, an authentic man! There has to be growing up from childish things. That’s because it takes nothing to become a child.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Isaiah 9:6 NIV
It only takes being born to be a child but growing into manhood will take something from you. We are all about working with you to maximize the manhood in every male child.
Why men? It is said that “When a mother comes to Christ, her family will join her at church only 17% of the time; but when a father comes to Christ, his family joins him 93% of the time”. Little wonder, there is an onslaught of the enemy to keep the men away from coming to Jesus Christ. This is currently the bane of our society.

The Man and his God
The real intent for the creation of man is fellowship with God. God desired relationship and decided to make man in His image and after His likeness.Man, at its best is meant to function in the presence of God. The environment of a creature is more important than its potential. Just like fish will function best in water and will become helpless despite its huge potential away from its environment. So also,a man will function sub-optimally at best without the presence of God.
The bottom line is that we were created to know God, and we miss out on the fullness of life when we fail to do so.Knowing God is more than collecting information. It’s about intimacy
The Man and his finances
Definition of Financial Freedom: You don’t have to ask money for permission to obey God or pursue the dreams in your heart.
A more formal definition of Financial Freedom is the ability to live off the income of your personally invested resources.
Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV) “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
The dimension of financial freedom envisaged involved starting with a relationship with God as the source, but also the practicalityof having income that surpasses expenses and wise investment.
Maturing Men will seek to network kingdom minded men to achieve great things for God in our society.
‘’Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.’’ Isaiah 58:12 NLT
The Man and his sexuality
Unlike what our society wants to make us believe, God created mankind as male and female, so it’s not up to us to determine our sexuality.
“So, God created mankind in his own image,in the image of God he created them;male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 NIV
As Christians, our starting point for understanding human sexuality is the Scripture. The Scripture is also our guidance to be an effective man in a God centered home.
“Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered” I Peter 3:7 NKJV
It takes knowledge for husband and wives to dwell together. The opposite of knowledge is Assumption. Assumption is like two people dwelling in the dark winking at each other.
We do challenge men to this higher calling to be the dependable man for his family.
The Man and his posterity/legacy
Posterity literally means the descendants of a person. God’s pattern is to find and groom a man. In turn, he expects him to teach his children and children’s children what he has been taught.
“He decreed statutes for Jacoband established the law in Israel,which he commanded our ancestorsto teach their children,so the next generation would know them,even the children yet to be born,and they in turn would tell their children.” Psalm 78:5-6 NIV
In fact, his rating of men could be easily connected to his confidence of their diligence in training their children. This is not a delegated role. He testified of Abraham in the Scriptures
“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” Genesis 18:19 KJV
On the contrary, a few known names (Eli, Samuel for example) in the Scriptures didn’t do a good job with preserving their posterity and how heart breaking that was.
